Development of applications on VIA^® Eden™ Based Fanless Panel PCs and on ARM9 Touch Panel Computers, which have a touch screen TFT 5,7" ~ 15" and which concern:

Concrete Industry Automation

P. G. MAVRIDIS and collaborators, with 12 years expertise, have developed an integrated system - automation unit especially for the concrete industry. We also undertake modifications, expansions or modernization of systems already installed.

The said automatic dosing unit is of special construction and connects digitally to the network system scales (for cement, water, inert materials and mixtures) through RS422/RS485 communication protocol. Since the software is directly updated by the scales, the material weight is monitored with accuracy of:

• 1 Kg for inert materials, cement and water
• 1 g for mixtures.

The automation is based on a PLC unit which controls the whole system and it does not allow any jamming during loading.
The weight indicators and the PC are connected to a UPS in order to avoid problems in case of a power failure.
The system has a control button for every lamp of the board and the mixer can start by-passing it in case of system failure. The whole system is supervised and controlled from a PC using ReadyMix software.

The representation of a mimic diagram showing the real situation on site, as well as the easy operation, constitutes system's main features. The user may easily select from the menu the dosage and the required product quantity. By pressing a button, loading is automatically performed without further intervention.
